2K Brings Onboard Popular Battle Royale Producer to Revitalize Troubled Action Game Project Ethos
The renowned publisher has secured Ben Brinkman from the creators of Apex Legends to direct the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently developing the upcoming third-person action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Management Shift Follows Lukewarm Reception
The new appointee takes on the leadership position at the development studio following the exit of former leader Michael Condrey, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' disappointing initial reveal last autumn.
On Wednesday, the company's top executive David Ismailer notified team members about this organizational change through an internal memo, which emphasized that early feedback sessions had shown the necessity for a clearer direction.
Ismailer expressed that the team is now reimagining Project Ethos with a renewed approach, aiming to satisfy community desires.
Trend of Strategic Recruitment
The news echoes a comparable action taken by the publisher in August, when they brought on an industry veteran from the Diablo team to contribute to the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.
Below is the full message from Ismailer's memo:
